1. Who we are

Prometheus Analytics operates the Prometheus electoral intelligence platform at prometheusanalytics.xyz. We are the data controller for personal data processed through the Platform. For data protection matters, contact us at: contact@prometheusanalytics.xyz

2. What data we collect

We collect and process the following categories of personal data:

• Account data: name, work email address, and organisation name provided at registration

• Usage data: login timestamps, features accessed, and session activity logs

• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device identifiers

We do not collect or store electoral data about individual voters. All electoral analysis is performed on aggregated, anonymised public election results.

3. Special category data

Because the Platform serves political parties and organisations engaged in electoral activity, your organisational affiliation may constitute special category data under Article 9 of the GDPR (data relating to political opinions). We process this data solely on the basis of your explicit consent and the performance of our service agreement. This data is never shared with third parties.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Contract performance: to provide access to the Platform under our service agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR)

• Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent fraud, and improve the Platform (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR)

• Legal obligation: where required by applicable law (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR)

• Explicit consent: for any special category data relating to political affiliation (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR)

5. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Authenticate your access to the Platform

• Provide and maintain the analytical services you have contracted

• Communicate service updates, maintenance, or security notices

• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to service delivery.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• Service providers who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements (e.g., hosting infrastructure)

• Where required by law or court order

All data processing by third-party providers takes place within the EU/EEA or under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses).

7. Data retention

We retain your account data for the duration of your service agreement and for up to 12 months thereafter, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Usage and technical logs are retained for up to 6 months.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you

• Rectify inaccurate data

• Request erasure of your data, subject to legal obligations

• Restrict or object to processing

• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

• Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority

9. Security

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
